    The condition of live for the slave was horrible. They had to serve their master, more like obey their master and if they didn't, slaves could be whipped until death. To hurt the slaves more, the masters were putting salt on the injury of the slaves. They were not allowed to leave the plantation until they finish they job and if it wasn't did correctly, they were beeing whip in front off all the other slaves so that they will not do like him. They could married but only with other slaves and they needed to have the autorisation of the master. They were working hard all day and weren't paid, they just have a really small place to live and a little bit of food that weren't enough a tall. They were singing between them with they traditionnal songs. They didn't learn whow to read and write because the master jujed they needed to do what he said and that they didn't need to now how to read and write.

    question:

    I think the slaves weren't allowed to go to scholl because they master though they just needed to do what he told them. Learning how to read and write was a privilège at their time and only rich people had this chance.
